FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rising Canadian rock band Spacetripper releases their highly anticipated new single, “Love to Hate You,” this September 10th. Known for blending 70s and 80s rock influences with a modern edge, Spacetripper is about to deliver one of their catchiest and most energetic tracks to date. “Love to Hate You” is a breakup anthem that transforms heartbreak into an empowering, tongue-in-cheek celebration of moving on.
The single’s infectious, driving beat and bold lyrics, like “I used to love to love you, but now I love to hate you,” perfectly encapsulate the rollercoaster of emotions that come with a messy breakup. With soaring guitars, powerful vocals, and an earworm chorus, “Love to Hate You” blends cathartic rock energy with a playful sense of humor, making it both relatable and impossible not to sing along to. Fans of the band’s signature sound will recognize the high-energy vibe reminiscent of their previous hits, but with an added twist of anthem-like intensity that makes this track stand out.
Lead vocalist Dean Fisher explains the inspiration behind the song: “We wanted to take that feeling of getting kicked down by someone you care about and turn it into something that makes you feel strong.”
Following a string of successful releases including Never Loved You, She’s The One, and the Secrets, Spacetripper continues to carve their path in the Canadian rock scene with a style they describe as rural modern rock, taking inspiration from legendary bands like The Who, Blue Rodeo, and The Tragically Hip. With its punchy riffs and memorable chorus, “Love to Hate You” promises to be a fan favorite and a staple at their upcoming live shows.
The single will be available on all major streaming platforms on September 10th 2024. Fans can get a sneak peek of the song with an exclusive teaser clip dropping on the band’s social media ahead of the full release.
